In June 2025, Project InDIA launched an online fundraising campaign on Milaap, with the goal of raising INR 50,000 to support upcoming inclusivity initiatives for students at Sukhad Foundation. The funds will be used to support our partner NGO's ongoing DEI initiatives.
The Safer Spaces Session
In August 2025, the project also organized an expert-led session, conducted by a professional with experience in DEI mandates and designed to explore Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion principles with NGO staff, volunteers, faculty, and students. It covered topics like identity and intersectionality, equitable policies, inclusive communication, cultural sensitivity, allyship and advocacy.Â
In-DEI Network
To ensure long-term impact, we are also working on creating an In-DEI Network for Sukhad Foundation. This initiative will include the digital donation of a Diversity, Education, and Insight Handbook along with an Action for Inclusion Activity Book for students, teachers, and staff. The network will focus on helping the NGO establish committees and feedback mechanisms to encourage sustained conversations and actions around inclusivity.
